Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU), Darbhanga has officially announced the new date for its 11th Convocation Ceremony. The much-awaited event will now be held on 21 November at the historic Dr. Nagendra Jha Stadium.
Earlier, the convocation was planned for 16 October, but the university had to postpone the event due to unfavourable weather conditions or Bihar Assembly election. The new date was sent to the Raj Bhavan for approval, which has now been granted.
University Chancellor Shri Arif Mohammad Khan will preside over the ceremony. According to officials, most of the event arrangements were already completed, and final reviews of seating, stage layout, and student entry are almost completed and rehearsal should begin.
1147 Students to Receive Degrees on Convocation Day
LNMU has confirmed that 1147 students across various programs have registered for participation in the ceremony. Degrees and certificates will be awarded to students of:
- Ph.D
- MBA
- Postgraduate (PG) programs

This year’s convocation will honor students from nearly 25 academic disciplines, reflecting the university’s wide academic presence across the Mithila.
26 Gold Medals to Be Awarded
A total of 26 Gold Medals will be presented during the ceremony.
These include memorial medals instituted in honor of renowned academicians and contributors to Mithila.

- Gold medal recipients may be called earlier for rehearsal and seating arrangements.

The official notification for the 11th convocation 2025 has been published by the university official 27 August 2025 on the university special portal for the convocation convocation.lnmu.ac.in all the student have applied there. Also university has extended the applying date for applicant till 27 September 2025.
